Artist's Statement: I've written a number of different artist's statements for "Jessi's Home." I've finally decided that the best statement would be to simply write what was going through my mind when I drew it. Just imagine the storm of fear, anger and worry that was in the hearts of Jessica's loved ones when she was a Prisoner Of War. Your life was a surreal episode of desperation with the only relief coming in your dreams as you slept at night. Then, imagine the serine feeling that envelopes you when she's finally safe at home. The hurricane in your soul has finally subsided - try to sense the joy and calmness that overwhelm all of your senses when you first see her and look in her eyes as she is home in her living room: and you see that wonderful smile on her face. ~ Randy J.
